Thickness

 Tile thickness is an imprtant indicator of quality.

Water  absorption

   PoRCELAIN HAS a lot LESS WATER absorption rate than ceramic, (0.5%) of their wieght.  atile that meets this reqirment has extremely low absorpancy and can be used with confidance, even outdoors.

What is PORCELAIN?

the descrription porcelain, used to identify the product, implies that all the tiles are impervious, i.e. they have water absorption NOT TO exeed 0.5 % of their weight.

bending resistance

this test measures a tile's resistance to loads (e.g. the weight of people and funature, or objects, on a floor) and its ability to withstand them by bending, without breaking. the breaking strength of the tile used in the test is generally lower than its real load capacity after it is installed as a part of the floor.

resistance to thermal shock

this test consists of heating and cooling cycle between the temperatures of 15 c and 145 c.
